Manzano Chile Sauce
This sauce is made to bring out true flavor of the Manzano Chile that I love. We ferment the peppers, garlic and complemtary spices to make this bright yellow refreshing sauce. It goes great with eggs on tacos, or mixed with some humus as a dip.
It is a unique pepper that originates from higher altitudes in the South American Andes. Unlike most medium-heat chiles that belong to the capsicum annuum species of peppers, the Manzano pepper is a member of the capsicum pubescens species. This gives it black seeds, which are unique to this pepper species. The Manzano pepper’s thick walls and fruitiness make it a perfect pepper for my hot sauce.
